Hello, I am Maria Phillips (she/her) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and provide in person and virtual therapy to children, teens, and adults. I provide neurodivergent affirming therapy (meaning therapy that honors neurological differences with acceptance and empowerment) and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. I earned my undergraduate degree at The College of New Jersey with a major in Psychology and minor in Fine Arts. I earned my master’s degree at Drexel Univsersity in Art Therapy and Counseling. I have been a therapist in children’s partial hospitalization program (PHP), in home family therapy, hospice care, group therapy practice, and now my own private practice.
I support children, their families, and adults in navigating neurodivergence and not masking their needs related to:
- Autism
- Depresssion
- Anxiety & OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder)
- Auditory Processing needs
- ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder)
- Sensory Processing needs
I also provide therapy to address life challenges or transitions related to:
- Grief and Loss
- Domestic violence/ Initimate Partner Violence
- Divorce
- Challenging medical diagnosis
- Identity exploration and gender-affirming care
- Family conflict.
Outside the office, you may find me hiking with my dog, starting a new craft, or drinking tea and reading. To learn more about my therapy approach click below.
