My approach to therapy is rooted in authentic connection. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and where we work collaboratively to shape goals and treatment in a way that respects your pace and feels true to you. Together, we look beyond the surface-level behaviors alone and towards meaningful, long term emotional growth. Here is an explanation of some approaches that guide my therapy process.

Art & Play Therapy

Art and play provide natural and developmentally appropriate ways to communicate, explore, and process emotions that might be difficult to put into words. I incorporate art and play interventions to create a safe and engaging space where clients can explore emotions, process challenging experiences, and strengthen their sense of identity and self-worth. By focusing on themes that naturally emerge and encouraging experiential learning, clients can develop a sense of autonomy and control in their therapy process. While ensuring that the therapy work remains intentional, collaborative, and in alignment to long-term treatment goals and meaningful change.

Relational & Attunement Therapy

Relational approaches create long lasting change and have greatly influenced my view of therapy. This means that I focus on attachment and present day relationships that impact our emotional well being. The process of attunement involves thoughtful reflections and tuning in to your body’s experiences and responses. This process is to truly get to know you, develop trust, and comfortabililty throughout the therapy process. My hope is that the therapy space can improve interpersonal relationships while remaining true to your authentic self. This might include exploring communication styles and responding with increased awareness and empathy. Through this process, we deepen our understanding of others while strenghtening your connection with yourself.

Family Systems Therapy

Family system therapy recognizes that childen do best when the systems around them are supportive. I consider family relationships, caregiver dynamics, and environmental factors to help families have stronger connections, improve communication, and get through challenges. This also includes understanding your family’s culture, values, and background. For adults, this might include understanding relational patterns in childhood and gaining insight on how they influence present day experiences.
